Since the beginning of this period of COVID-19 and the mandates to shut down most of the club facilities, we have been receiving an overwhelming amount of emails and communications of gratitude from the membership, on how the club has handled the situation. Here are some of the wonderful messages that were received.
We thank you all for the incredibly kind words!
From Kathy Rossi - Executive Assistant Tenet Health, Delray Medical Center:
"Michael, THANK YOU! This is absolutely amazing and I can’t thank you enough! The 200 meals that Addison Reserve provided were fabulous and the hospital staff were so moved with the extra touch that your team added to each individual container of food! Please let everyone know that we thank them and that this is truly appreciated!

From Madi R. - Granddaughter of AR Members Dr. and Mrs. Neff
Dear Mr. Michael McCarthy,
My name is Madi R. and I am the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Neff.
During these unprecedented and concerning times, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to you and the entire Addison Reserve Team.
As one who is very close to my grandparents, you can imagine the worry I felt the moment COVID-19 became a threat in the US. As they are unfortunately in the vulnerable demographic my number one concern was their health, safety, comfort and overall mental state. All I wanted to do was travel from NYC to Florida to not only be with them, but also make sure they had everything they needed and never had to leave their home, but that was not possible due to the fact that NYC had been deemed the “epicenter” and the last thing I wanted to do was potentially spread the virus.
As a result, I did what I could from a far – sending packages and calling my grandparents multiple times a day (ok I admit that part is no different than pre-COVID, but it is crucial for this story). My worries soon began to dissipate. This is mainly due to the effort, kindness, precautions and processes that I heard you had put into place.
The amount of work and changes you have made to keep your community safe is something I am forever grateful for. You have made it possible for my grandparents to have everything they could need and more – for example, great meals delivered from the club, medicine delivered, groceries delivered, afternoon ice cream delivered, entertainment / fitness online, and so much more. I really cannot thank you enough. They are so happy to be “stuck” in their home at Addison and you are the reason they are able to feel safe and content.
Again, I just wanted to thank you for staying on top of all safety precautions as well as being empathetic to your community during these uncertain times.
I hope you and your family are safe and I look forward to seeing you at the club once this craziness has passed.
From Barry and Marlene, AR Members:
Good morning Michael,
Barry and I just want to let you know how grateful we are to be a a part of this amazing community .
Your kindness and generosity yesterday in preparing and delivering the meals to Delray Medical Center was just amazing. Thinking of others while trying to make our lives safe and comfortable goes above and beyond anything we could imagine.
Being isolated here at Addison has made a really difficult situation more than bearable. Our every need is taken care of from food to entertainment.
Ice cream trucks, exercise videos, lectures, museum tours and more.
You have been on top of everything needed to keep your Addison family (members and staff) healthy, happy and busy. We just want you to know how appreciated you are and to tell you what a fabulous job you are doing.
Thanks for all that you do.
